Our worship services are best described as being Christ-centered, covenantal, and dialogical. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every first Sunday of the month. We use songs in our worship services that are Christ-centered and theologically sound. Casual dress is acceptable. A cry room is available for infants. We offer a Sunday School program for children and Bible studies for youth students and for adults after worship. There is free on-site parking. Lunch is served in the afternoon.

Our mission is to worship God, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and prepare believers for the coming eternal kingdom through the ministry of God’s word and sacraments.

We receive the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms, the Apostles’ Creed, and the Nicene Creed as accurate summaries of what the Bible teaches.

We are a local church of the Presbyterian Church in America and the Korean Central Presbytery.

The Lord's Supper

We observe the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month. Members who have been admitted by our session - as well as anyone who professes faith in Christ and is a member in good standing of a church that proclaims the true gospel - are welcomed to the Lord’s Table here at Highland.

Pastor for Adults

Rev. Abraham Hong was born and raised in the Chicago area and is an ordained teaching elder in the PCA. He studied at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia and Washington University in St. Louis. Abraham enjoys nature, traveling, and following the Cubs.

Pastor for Youth

Mr. Peter Yoo

Pastor for Children

We have weekly Bible studies, monthly fellowship meetings, monthly praise nights with our Korean-speaking members, seasonal biweekly small groups, and various special events throughout the year.

Ways to Get Involved

Members can have a go at birthdays, civic hospitality, diaconal assistance, children education, evangelism, Friday joint praise nights, G5 meetings, history, music, the welcoming of newcomers, small groups, snacks, and ushering.

We work with Roots, a summer retreat program for youth students, and Sojourners, a college student fellowship in Chicago.
