Cote d'Ivoire Missions 2008

In July 2008, Hope's Cote d'Ivoire mission team began to see the fruits of the seeds God had been planting through previous years' mission teams. They were able to witness the construction progress that had been made to the church plant Hope has been involved with in the impoverished city of Anyama for over a year, and the revival in the villages they visited and served through street evangelism, medical missions and vacation bible schools where turnout was always higher than expected. Additionally, the combined global mission team doubled in size from previous years – the team consisted of members not only from Hope, Good News Church (New York, NY), Onnuri Church (Edison, NJ & Seoul, Korea), but also from the Youth Group of Onnuri Church and the English Ministry of Church of Love (Philadelphia, PA). The combined efforts of the entire team enabled them to minister to hundreds of more adults and children of Cote d'Ivoire. And lastly, the highlight of the trip was the team's seamless entry into Danane – a city in "rebel-controlled" territory which had just a year earlier had been blocked from previous mission teams due to the political instability in the country. It was truly a year that showed that God is moving and desires to do greater things in Cote d'Ivoire.
