Cote d'Ivoire Missions 2007
After months of preparation and training, Hope sent another team of short-term missionaries to Abidjian, Cote d'Ivoire in July 2007 to serve with Abidjan International Ministries (AIM) for a second year in efforts to build a long-term relationship with the organization. The team partnered with members of Good News Church (New York, NY) and Onnuri Church (Edison, NJ & Seoul, Korea) to continue building God's Kingdom in Cote d'Ivoire. Over a period of 2.5 weeks, the combined mission team traveled to various villages to hold medical clinics, vacation bible schools, revivals as well as to do street evangelism and have sports fellowship with the military police. While the team was unsuccessful in its attempt to enter into Danane - a city located in the "rebel-controlled" (anti-government) territory - the team was able to preach the gospel to other villages on the way to Danane and ultimately to plan seeds and lift up prayers to open up Danane to the Gospel, which would happen sooner than anyone had expected.
