Our Ministries
The Bible teaches that all Christians are ministers. Whether our occupations are in publishing, finance, real estate or law, we are all called to minister for the sake of the Gospel. God has blessed all of us with various talents and skills, so that they may be used to bring about the mission of Christ in the life of the church and to the world. Thus, the members of Hope dedicate their time, energy, and resources to various ministries that are critical to accomplishing this mission.
Activities
To bring unity and deeper relationships within the larger community of the church by coordinating activities through which people can interact and have fellowship.
The community that is Hope is fundamental to the life of the church. Those in the Activities Ministry are dedicated to helping members get to know each other and enjoy each other through events planned throughout the year that are spiritually enriching and importantly, fun! From seasonal sports leagues, to book clubs, to learning new hobbies – the Activities Ministry members are always finding new ways to enhance fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters.
Missions & Outreach
To serve and bring renewal to our local community and communities abroad through the person and message of Jesus Christ.
One of the primary things that Jesus calls us to do is to serve and love our neighbors. Through Jesus, God poured into our lives such joy and blessings that we long to share it with others. Those in the Missions & Outreach Ministry work to establish regular opportunities for Hope members to give of themselves to those around them in the local Tri-State area as well as overseas. They participate in and establish relationships with various humanitarian organizations and find other creative ways to serve and meet the needs of the community around us.
Nursery
To help families with young children worship God freely, and to inspire in our community a passion for education and fostering a genuine heart of God and security in our youth.
While parents are completely welcome and encouraged to bring their children into the main sanctuary for Sunday service, we do acknowledge that having a nursery service can be helpful for some. Hope’s Nursery Ministry members are loving individuals who not only desire to provide this service for families, but are dedicated to creating an environment that will inspire children to learn about and grow their passion for God.
Publications
To support ministry goals and enhance activities with creative and informative materials and visual aids.
Whether the task is to develop materials for retreats, informative literature for missions, advertising for events and fundraisers, or welcoming materials for visitors, the Publications ministry is made up of artistic individuals using their unique talents for the advancement of God’s kingdom. From design to production, Publications ministry members desire to inspire individuals to reflect on God’s presence and will for our ministry and community through the materials that are developed.
Transportation
To help those who lack transportation participate in the life of the church.
Sometimes it is difficult for members to attend events simply because of the lack of transportation. This ministry is dedicated to providing and coordinating safe and consistent means of transport for those in need so that everyone who is willing can participate in the life of the church – whether to attend special events, family groups or Sunday service in the Tri-State area.
Welcoming
To inform and welcome Hope visitors and to help them get involved in the life of the church.
For most, visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating or impersonal experience. Those in the Welcoming Ministry are devoted to creating an open and comfortable environment in which you can feel at ease when you step through our doors. Not only will they be able to answer questions about what we strive to do as a ministry through our purpose, mission and vision, but also to help you get connected with friends, family groups, activities, and other ministries.
Worship
To facilitate awesome and intimate experiences with God.
We believe experiencing God in worship is one of the most important aspects of the life of a Christian. Those in this ministry are always finding creative ways to keep worship relevant, cogent, and free from distractions. Sub-ministries include the Praise Team Ministry, which is responsible for all musical aspects of the worship life of the church, and the Audio/Visual Ministry, which is responsible for all the multi-media aspects of worship.
